Just a couple of weeks back, I accepted Arthur's (AHDC) invitation to go to Lumut. It's a small booming and quiet town in the state of Perak, Malaysia, situated about 3.5 hours northwest of Kuala Lumpur. The town itself is not much of a tourist place but a neighboring island, Pangkor Island, is one of Malaysia's top 10 vacation islands. Lumut is rumored to be famed for its sunset view.
I drove my pickup truck, a Mitsubishi Storm V6, carrying some goods AHDC had to deliver to his company's factory site. We spent almost a third of the day, upon arrival, figuring out how to pry open the back portion of the truck to get his goods out. Apparently, I didn't have my key for it. It was like I have just lost my only key to open the trunk! AHDC found a long screwdriver at a shop, who initially thought we hijacked the truck, and it was finally opened! Had some good laughs at it! The drama involved was intense! Did a 'donut' turn on 4-wheels drive on a off-road terrain! Drove back and forth through a series of bumpy roads with deceiving potholes deep as though I've driven through a black hole! All these... just hoping the rough rides would magically open the back portion of the truck, where the goods were locked in!
Below are photos of us, still in Lumut, but getting ready to leave for Kuala Lumpur. Lumut has one of the nicest esplanades in the country, IMHO. It was a great day to be outside!

Lumut
Arthur and myself at the Lumut's Esplanade. We were friends since school days... when we were about 13 or 14 years old.
